We begin our second season growing produce for local food pantries at our very own community gardens at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton.  Sponsor GTCR helped us kickoff the 2023 season!

This spring, they refreshed and planted crops in galvanized tanks, which the DuPage County Fairgrounds & Events Center generously converted from beer tubs to garden beds.  The team weeded the Fairgrounds’ strawberry patch, and spread soil at GardenWorks primary garden space, where we have a traditional garden, modern garden, garden boxes, and grow bags.  

“We decided to sponsor GardenWorks partner with them for our Earth day celebration”, says Melissa Hoveke of GTCR . “It was a great event to give back to the community in the spirit of some of our ESG efforts”.
